What is a Doula?
The word doula is a Greek word meaning women's servant. Women have been serving others in childbirth for many centuries and have proven that support from another woman has a positive impact on the labor process. Whether you labor and deliver at your home, the birth center or in the hospital, doulas offer support through the entire experience. . We breathe with you, perform comfort measures and share natural pain management techniques. Doulas advocate for your birth requests. We stay with you after birth to help initiate breastfeeding and provide local resources and referrals as needed.

We meet prior to brith to focus on your birth preferences, coping strategies and perinatal education. Meetings generally last 1.5 hours.

I will be on-call and available starting at 37 weeks. When labor begins, I am with the birthing mama from the time that she needs support until an hour after baby is born.

I will visit you and your baby at home and review your birth. I check in on breastfeeding, infant care and offer any support referrals that mama made need.

$1800 includes two prenatal visits, birth support and one postpartum visit

$2200. Includes two prental visits, a private class of your choice (birth, breastfeeding, postpartum) two private yoga classes, birth support and two postpartum visits

All women who want support deserve it. Sliding scale pricing allows those who can pay the full price of doula services to do so, which allows me to offer our support to families at lower prices, when necessary, as determined by their income. Sliding scale can also be combined with payment plans.
